PZU is the largest Polish insurance group and one of the key financial institutions in Central-Eastern Europe. The business rests on non-life and life insurance, complemented by banking (through Bank Pekao and Alior Bank), asset management, pension products and health services.
In 2025 the group delivered record insurance revenue of PLN 30.9 billion and an all-time-high net profit attributable to owners of the parent of PLN 6.7 billion. The insurance service result rose to PLN 4.8 billion and the Polish non-life COR improved to 86.2%.
PZU operates under a strong, highly recognised brand among individual and corporate clients alike. Distribution spans own channels, tied agents, multi-agencies, brokers and bancassurance. The group combines a stable market position with a dividend policy targeting at least 50% of consolidated net profit attributable to the parent.
The Polish State Treasury remains the strategic shareholder, which both defines PZU's role in the domestic financial sector and exposes the company to political risk.
