OSHEE underwrites PLN 5,000 per record-beating hour – Czabański starts a 4,520 km 20× Ironman attempt in Brazil on 1 May
On 1 May 2026, Polish ultra-endurance athlete Jurand Czabański begins a world-record bid in Brazil in the 20× Ironman Continuous – a format in which the athlete completes 20 full Ironman distances back-to-back, with no recovery break. Total challenge distance: 4,520 km (a 76 km swim, 3,600 km on the bike, and an 844 km run). The standing world record has gone unbeaten for nearly thirty years – no athlete has managed to better it.
The title sponsor of the bid is the Kraków-based brand OSHEE Polska, one of the leaders of the Polish isotonic and energy-drinks market. The brand's funding mechanism couples sponsorship with a charitable purpose: for every hour by which Czabański beats the standing record, OSHEE will donate PLN 5,000 to the Cancer Fighters foundation in Gorzów Wielkopolski, which supports patients undergoing cancer treatment.

A Kraków company freshly transformed: from sp. z o.o. to S.A. in 2025
OSHEE Polska is headquartered in Kraków, at Aleja 3 Maja 9. It has operated under the KRS since 2008 – initially as a limited-liability company (KRS 0000301057) and, since 30 June 2025, in a new legal form, a joint-stock company (KRS 0001179199). The transformation preserved the same NIP (5252418701) and REGON (141321255), confirming the entity's legal continuity – the new articles of association were certified by notary Bartłomiej Chochół in Kraków in a deed dated 2 June 2025.
The management board has three members: a president and two vice-presidents (one of whom also serves as chief financial officer). There is also a five-member supervisory board. Representation requires two board members acting jointly – a standard arrangement for a joint-stock company of this scale. The company holds a registered electronic-delivery address (ADE: PL-24671-18725-CFFFC-14), confirming compliance with the e-Delivery obligation that took effect for KRS-registered entities on 1 January 2026.
Operating in parallel with the Polish joint-stock company is OSHEE World sp. z o.o., registered in 2024 – the brand's international-expansion vehicle, kept separate from the Polish operating core. Both companies are headquartered in Kraków and belong to the same business group.
The Polish functional-drinks market: sport as a brand-building channel
Poland's isotonic and energy-drinks market is currently estimated at PLN 1.7–1.9 billion in annual retail sales. Competition is concentrated – a handful of players (OSHEE, Tymbark, and the international Red Bull and Monster) account for the bulk of revenue. Within this structure, sports storytelling – sponsorship of extreme events, individual athletes, and teams – is a brand-awareness and premium-positioning tool that classical advertising cannot replicate.
Three structural mechanisms explain the choice of a 20× Ironman as a marketing platform:
- The global media reach of extreme sport – a world record that has resisted challengers for decades generates attention disproportionate to the spend. A classical campaign of comparable reach would cost several to a dozen or so million zloty – a sports sponsorship with a CSR mechanism costs on the order of several hundred thousand.
- Product credibility – ultra-endurance racing requires hydration and supplementation on the order of dozens of litres of functional drinks. Showing the product under extreme metabolic load is a proof of efficacy no TV ad can match.
- A CSR mechanism tied to beating the record – coupling the donation to a concrete, measurable outcome (PLN 5,000 per hour of record improvement) rather than a flat amount increases the event's media appeal and signals that the sponsor genuinely wants the result.
What it means for brand positioning: more credibility, a lower cost per unit of reach
“Sponsorship of extreme-endurance events is one of the most cost-effective channels for Polish functional-drinks brands to build reach and product credibility. World-record status gives a single event media exposure that money cannot buy – and tying the donation to a concrete result adds a CSR layer that Gen Z and millennial consumers expect from premium brands.”
Three expected consequences for OSHEE's positioning in 2026:
- International brand recognition – a start in Brazil and a world-record format open media channels outside Poland (English-language triathlon outlets, industry press). For OSHEE World sp. z o.o., the international-expansion arm, this is direct marketing support in target markets – Germany, the Benelux countries, and southern Europe.
- Premium-segment credibility – the Polish isotonic-drinks market is steadily shifting towards more expensive products with claims around naturally sourced electrolytes, sugar-free formulations, and sports certification. Sponsoring an ultra-triathlon plants the brand squarely in that segment.
- A CSR effect with capped exposure – the floor commitment is PLN 5,000 for the first hour of improvement. Maximum exposure is bounded by how far the record can realistically be beaten – at an improvement of 12–24 hours, the donation lands at PLN 60,000–120,000, well within a typical sponsorship-activation budget.
For the Cancer Fighters foundation in Gorzów Wielkopolski – registered in the KRS since 2015 (Lubuskie voivodeship) – this is a one-off inflow of tens of thousands of zloty, in conditions where mid-sized Polish public-benefit organisations run annual budgets in the hundreds of thousands, funded mostly by the 1.5% PIT pass-through and small donations. For the foundation's beneficiaries – patients undergoing cancer treatment – these are funds for travel, diagnostics, and supplementation costs.
